Salime, Spain

Salime is a 128MW hydro power project. It is located on Navia river/basin in Asturias, Spain. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1953.

Description

The project was developed by EDP Espana SAU and is currently owned by Hidroelectrica Del Cantabrico. S.A. / Endesa Generacion with a stake of 50%.

Salime is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 239.5 million cubic meter. The project generated 350 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 4 turbines, each with 32MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 1953.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Hidrocantabrico Distribucion, S.A.U. & E.ON Distribucion under a power purchase agreement.
