Description

The project is developed and owned by Sonnedix and Yarotek. The owners have 50% stake in the project respectively.

Salinas Solar Park 1 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 140 acres.

The project generates 25,229MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 2,400 households, offsetting 21,700t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in August 2015.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors involved

BELECTRIC was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 167,392 modules at the site.

Solar inverters for the project were procured from GPTech Spain and Schneider Electric Peru.
