The project is currently owned by Bataan 2020.
The electricitiy generated from the plant has offsetted 38,652t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $31.372m.
Samal Biomass Power Plant is a combined heat and power (CHP) project. Rice husk which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
