San Agaton is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 779 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 350m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 1 in number. The penstock diameter is 5m. The project generated 1,249.5 GWh of electricity.

Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of pelton turbines, each with 150MW nameplate capacity.
