The project is developed and owned by Grassroots Renewable Energy.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 115,000 households, offsetting 700,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $437.742m.
The Sapphire Wind Farm (Sapphire Wind Farm I), has 137m high towers.
The Sapphire Wind Farm (Sapphire Wind Farm II), has 137m high towers.

ACT Government, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Flow Power are the power offtakers from the project.
Contractors Involved
Vestas Wind Systems was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.
Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 75 units of V126-3.45MW turbines, each with 3.6MW nameplate capacity.
Vestas Wind Systems is the O&M contractor for the wind power project for a period of 10 years.
