Sardar Sarovar - River Bed is a pumped storage project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 5,859.03 million cubic meter. The net head of the project is 224m. The penstock length is 110.6m. The penstock diameter is 7.6m. The project generated 5,216.804 GWh of electricity.

Toshiba India was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 6 units of francis turbines, each with 200MW nameplate capacity.
