Description
The project was developed by Avant-Garde Engineers and Consultants and is currently owned by Bannari Amman Sugars.
Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
The project consists of 2 turbines, each with 10MW nameplate capacity.

The project got commissioned in 2002.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to TNEB under a power purchase agreement.
