Description
The project is being developed by Africa Power 1 and Scatec. Scatec, IFC InfraVentures and Africa Power 1 are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51%, 30% and 19% respectively.
Segou Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 47 hectares.
The project is expected to generate 57,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 60,000 households. The project is expected to offset 33,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $50.2m.
The solar power project consists of 104,764 modules.
10 inverters are likely to get installed at the project site.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to Energie du Mali under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 33MW.
Contractors Involved
Scatec is expected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Scatec is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the solar PV power project.
