Seymareh is a 480MW hydro power project. It is located on Seymareh river/basin in Ilam, Iran. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2015.

Description

The project is developed and owned by Iran Water and Power Resources Development.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 3,216 million cubic meter. The gross head and net head of the project are 128.5m and 114m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The penstock length is 170m. The penstock diameter is 5.7m. The project generated 850 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $517.459m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 2015.

Contractors Involved

Farab and Parhoon Tarh were selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 160MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied 3 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 178 MVA.
