The project was developed by HNNE-CLP Weihai Wind Power and Huaneng Zhongdian Weihai Wind Power. Huaneng Renewables and CLP Holdings are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 55% and 45% respectively.
The project generates 249,134MWh of electricity.
The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in December 2006.
Shandong Weihai Wind Farm (Shandong Weihai Wind Farm Phase I) is equipped with Sinovel Wind Group SL1500/77 turbines. The phase consists of 17 turbines with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.
Shandong Weihai Wind Farm (Shandong Weihai Wind Farm Phase II) is equipped with Sinovel Wind Group SL1500/77 turbines. The phase consists of 29 turbines with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.
