The project was developed by Fusui Guangneug Electric Power Development Co., Ldt and is currently owned by Fusui Guangneng Electric Power Development.
Shanxiu is a run-of-river project. The project generated 352.76 GWh of electricity.

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Guangdong Shaoguan Zhongli Power Generation Equipment was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 turbines, each with 26MW nameplate capacity.
