The project is currently owned by Guangdong Energy Group with a stake of 100%.
It is a steam turbine power plant that is used for Baseload.
The thermal power project consists of 2 turbines each with 330 MW nameplate capacity and 2 turbines each with 600 MW nameplate capacity respectively.

The project got commissioned in March 2001.
