Shuiniujia is a 70MW hydro power project. It is located on Huoxi river/basin in Sichuan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 2003 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2007.

Description

The project was developed by Sichuan Hydropower Development and is currently owned by China Huaneng Group with a stake of 100%.

Shuiniujia is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 143.5 million cubic meter. The project generated 211 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $116.78m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to State Grid Corporation of China under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Dongfang Electric was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 turbines, each with 35MW nameplate capacity.

Dongfang Electric supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 35 MVA.
