Silver State South Solar Park is a 250MW solar PV power project. It is located in Nevada, the US. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in December 2016.

Description

The project was developed by First Solar and NextEra Energy Resources. NextEra Energy Resources and Nextera Energy Partners are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50.01% and 49.99% respectively.

Silver State South Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 2,000 acres.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 80,000 households, offsetting 150,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $403.167m.

The project got commissioned in December 2016.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Southern California Edison under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Contractors Involved

First Solar was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 3,400,000 modules at the site.
