Description
The project is being developed by Andritz Hydro, Roadbridge UK, Siga Hydro and STRABAG. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
Silvermines PSP is a pumped storage project. The net head of the project will be 300m. The penstock length will be 1,100m. The project is expected to generate 650 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $948m.
The hydro power project consists of 3 turbines, each with 120MW nameplate capacity.
The project has 3 electric generators that will be installed at the project site.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2028.
