Description
The project is currently owned by Ontario Power Generation with a stake of 100%.
The gross head of the project is 89m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 16 in number. The penstock length is 150m. The penstock diameter is 5m. Sir Adam Beck 2 underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 1996-2005.

Contractors Involved
Andritz Hydro was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 8 units of francis turbines.
The electric generators for the project were procured from Andritz Hydro and Voith Hydro Holding.
