Description
Sizewell C-2 is a Generation III+ nuclear reactor.
The 1,670MW reactor will be operated by NNB Generation. EDF Energy Holdings and General Nuclear International are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 80% and 20% respectively.
Sizewell C-2 is a type of PWR reactor. It will feature 241 fuel assemblies in the core of reactor, the place where fission occurs and energy is released.
The material used for the construction of the vessel will be 16MNDS.
Development Status
Post completion of construction, the reactor is planned to get commission in 2031.
Contractors Involved
YRM is expected to be the architect engineer for the reactor.
