Description
The project was developed by Eco2 and Iceni Energy. The project is currently owned by Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust with a stake of 100%.
The project generates 350GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 82,000 households, offsetting 30,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $240m.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Agricultural by-product and wood by-product are used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in April 2017.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Engie Supply Holding UK under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2017. The contracted capacity is 350GWh.
