Description

The project is currently owned by Companhia Brasileira de Aluminio with a stake of 100%.

The gross head and net head of the project are 81.35m and 78m respectively. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 3 in number. The project cost is $65m.

The project has 3 electric generators installed at the site. The generator capacity is 20 MVA.

Contractors Involved

Voith Hydro Holding was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 3 units of francis turbines, each with 20MW nameplate capacity.
