The project is being developed and currently owned by Cox Energy Solar.

Sol de Vallenar Solar Project is a ground-mounted solar project.

The project is expected to generate 800GWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 275,000 households. The project is expected to offset 300,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $170m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
