Description
The project was developed by Solar Capital. Moncada Energy Group, Public Investment and Solar Capital are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 35%, 25% and 25% respectively.
Solar Capital De Aar3 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 265 hectares.
The project generates 164GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 49,525 households, offsetting 167,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $222.831m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Eskom Holdings SOC under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 75MW.
Contractors Involved
Sterling and Wilson Solar was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.
The inverters were procured from AEG Power Solutions for the project.
Solar Capital is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
