Description

The project was developed by EDF Renewables and Soma Enerji Elektrik Uretim. The project is currently owned by Polat Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret.

The project generates 700GWh electricity thereby offsetting 470,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in October 2010.

Contractors Involved

Soma (Enercon) (Soma (Enercon) extension- III) is equipped with Enercon E-70 turbines. The phase consists of 50 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Soma (Enercon) (Soma (Enercon) Phase I) is equipped with Enercon E-44 turbines. The phase consists of 88 turbines with 0.9MW nameplate capacity.

Soma (Enercon) (Soma (Enercon) Phase II A) is equipped with Enercon E-70 turbines. The phase consists of 30 turbines with 2MW nameplate capacity.

Soma (Enercon) (Soma (Enercon) Phase II B) is equipped with Enercon E-44 turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 0.9MW nameplate capacity.

Soma (Enercon) (Soma (Enercon)- Phase IV) is equipped with Enercon E-126 turbines. The phase consists of 11 turbines with 4MW nameplate capacity.

Soma (Enercon) (Soma (Enercon)- Phase V) is equipped with Enercon E-126 turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 4MW nameplate capacity.
