Description
The project was developed by First Solar. Cordelio Power and Axium Infrastructure are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 51% and 49% respectively.
Sombra Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 347 acres.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 3,200 households. The project cost is $97.444m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in February 2012.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2012.
Contractors Involved
First Solar was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 344,000 modules each with 75W of nameplate capacity.
