The project is currently owned by Termoelektrarna Sostanj with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The fuel is procured from Premogovnik Velenje Coal Mine.

The project generated 2,865,901MWh of electricity. The project cost is $1,615.044m.

The project got commissioned in June 2016.

Contractors Involved

GE Power, Oriental NICCO Projects and Systech Group were selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Coal fired project. The company provided 1 unit of STF60 steam turbine with 600MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied TOPGAS Hydrogen Cooled electric generator for the project.

GE Power supplied steam boiler for the project.
