Sriracha Power Plant is a 700MW gas fired power project. It is located in Chon Buri, Thailand. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in August 2000.

Description

The project is currently owned by Global Power Synergy Public with a stake of 100%.

It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from PTT Public Company Limited, Thai Oil Refinery.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in August 2000.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 700MW.

Contractors Involved

The Gas fired project have been supplied by Siemens and Siemens Energy.

Vogt Power International supplied steam boiler for the project.
