The project construction commenced in 1963 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1982.

Contractors Involved

Bharat Heavy Electricals was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 7 units of francis turbines, each with 110MW nameplate capacity.

Bharat Heavy Electricals supplied electric generator(s) for the project. The generator capacity is 122 MVA.
