The project is developed and owned by Leader Energy Sdn. The company has a stake of 100%.
Sungai LSE 1 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 49 hectares.
The project generates 61,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 11,000 households, offsetting 40,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $43m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in October 2018.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Tenaga Nasional under a power purchase agreement for a period of 21 years.
Contractors Involved
Canadian Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company supplied modules with rated capacity of 325W.
