Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant, Mexico

The Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant is 1,100MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Veracruz, Mexico. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Tajin Energia S DE RL DE CV.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant.

The project will generate 9,154GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $850m.

Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant (Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit I) consists of 1 steam turbine.

Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant (Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit II) consists of 1 steam turbine.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.

Contractors Involved

Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant (Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit I) will be equipped with GE Power 1×1 SS 7HA.02 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine.

Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant (Tajin Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit II) will be equipped with GE Power 1×1 SS 7HA.02 gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine.
