The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 229 tenders and an 88.4% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 22 tenders and an 8.5% share
  3. Project Implementation: seven tenders and a 2.7% share
  4. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 0.4% share.

Middle East and Africa leads T&D equipment activity in May 2021

Comparing tenders activity in T&D equipment segment in different regions of the globe, Middle East and Africa held the top position with 90 tenders and a share of 34.7% during May 2021, followed by North America with 80 tenders and a 30.9% share and Asia-Pacific with 39 tenders and a 15.1% share.

Thermal is leading technology for T&D equipment tenders in May 2021

Among the technologies, thermal accounted for five tenders with a 62.5% share, followed by hydro with three tenders and a 37.5% share.
