Description
The project is currently owned by Isagen.
It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Oil.
The project generated 1,942,473MWh of electricity.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in March 1997.
Contractors Involved
Termocentro Combined Cycle Power Plant (Termocentro Combined Cycle Power Plant Phase I) is equipped with Siemens SGT6-3000E gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 100MW nameplate capacity.
Termocentro Combined Cycle Power Plant (Termocentro Combined Cycle Power Plant Phase II) is equipped with GE Power 270T441 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 100MW nameplate capacity.
GE Power supplied Air-cooled electric generator for the Termocentro Combined Cycle Power Plant (Termocentro Combined Cycle Power Plant Phase II).
Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction supplied steam boiler for the project.
