The project was developed by Electrabel and is currently owned by Engie with a stake of 50%.

The project generates 238,272MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 40,000 households, offsetting 169,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $141m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Redes Energeticas Nacionais under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 53 units of G87-2.0 MW turbines, each with 2MW nameplate capacity.

GES Global Energy Services is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
