Description
The project is currently owned by Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania.
Teshel is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1.37 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 341m. Teshel underwent through rehabilitation & modernization during 2002-2005. The project generated 18 GWh of electricity.

The project got commissioned in 1984.
Contractors Involved
Vaptech was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 31.2MW nameplate capacity.
IHB Electric supplied 2 electric generators for the project. The generator capacity is 35 MVA.
