Description

The project is currently owned by Oy Alholmens Kraft.

The project generates 1,300GWh of electricity.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood waste which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Contractors Involved

Electrowatt-Ekono was selected to render EPC services for the biopower project.

Kvaerner Pulping supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 5,455°C. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 165bar.
