Tianshengqiao I is a 1,200MW hydro power project. It is located on Nanpan river/basin in Guizhou, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1991 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1998.

Description

The project was developed by Tianshengqiao Level 1 Hydropower Development. Guangdong Yudian Maple Dam Power Generation, China Datang Group Co., Ltd.

, Guangxi Investment Group and Guizhou Basic Construction Investment Company

are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 20%, 20% and 10% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 10,260 million cubic meter. The project generated 5,266 GWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 1991 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1998.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Harbin Electric Machinery was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 4 turbines, each with 300MW nameplate capacity.
