The project was developed by Tokyo Energy & Systems. Hanwha Life Insurance and Kyobo Life Insurance are currently owning the project.
Tokyo Energy Kirishima Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 157 hectares.
The project generates 50,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 14,000 households, offsetting 740,000,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $173.614m.
The project consists of 132,000 modules.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Tokyo Energy & Systems was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
