Description

The project is currently owned by Florida Municipal Power Agency with a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from TECO Peoples Gas.

The project generated 1,704,074MWh of electricity. The project cost is $592.605m.

The Gas fired project consists of 1 steam turbine with 191.8MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in May 2008.

Contractors Involved

GE Power was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 1 unit of 7F.04 gas turbine with 219.6MW nameplate capacity.

GE Power supplied electric generator for the project.

Vogt Power International supplied steam boiler for the project.
