Description

The project was developed by Frontera Renovable S de RL de CV, Heolios EnTG SAPI de CV and Tractebel Energia de Altamira S. de R.L. de. Engie and Tokyo Gas are currently owning the project.

The project generates 223GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 126,000 households. The project cost is $99m.

The project has 112m high towers.

Development Status

The project is currently active. The project got commissioned in March 2019.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2019.

Contractors Involved

Tractebel Energia de Altamira S. de R.L. de was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 15 units of V126 turbines.
