Description

The project was developed by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures Servicios Espana, National Solar Power and SunEdison. The project is currently owned by MN8 Energy with a stake of 100%.

Tucson Solar Park -1 is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 199 acres.

The project generates 41,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 3,500 households, offsetting 90,200t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in November 2012.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tucson Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 20MWh.

Contractors involved

OHL Industrial was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Nvt Licenses was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 88,000 modules each with 290W of nameplate capacity.

Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems supplied 16 inverters to the project site.

The project is utilising horizontal single axis trackers supplied by Array Technologies.
