Description

The project generates 210GWh of electricity.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.

Ubombo Sugar Cogeneration Plant (Ubombo Sugar Cogeneration Plant Phase II) consists of 1 turbine with 25MW nameplate capacity.

The power generated from the project is sold to Swaziland Electricity under a power purchase agreement.
