It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.

Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 (Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 Unit I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod PT-60 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 60MW nameplate capacity.

Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 (Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 Unit II) is equipped with Ural Turbine Works T-100/120 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 105MW nameplate capacity.

Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 (Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 Unit III) is equipped with Ural Turbine Works T-100/120 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 110MW nameplate capacity.

Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 (Ulyanovsk CHPP-1 Unit IV) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod PT-80/100 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 80MW nameplate capacity.

NPO Elsib supplied TVF-120-2, TVF-110-2E, Hydrogen Cooled electric generator for the project.

Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik supplied steam boiler for the project.
