The project is being developed and currently owned by EDF Norte Fluminense.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel will be procured from Cabiunas Terminal.

Siemens will be the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company is expected to provide 3 units of SGT6-9000HL gas turbines.
