The project is currently owned by Nepal Electricity Authority.
Uttarganga Storage is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 463 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 1,350m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, is expected to be 4 in number. The penstock length will be 1,875m. The penstock diameter will be 5.2m. The project is expected to generate 1,299 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $1,134.029m.
