Vao Biomass Power Plant is a 21.4MW biopower project. It is located in Harju, Estonia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 2016.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households.

The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Wood chips which is a kind of wood by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
