Ventanilla Combined Cycle Power Plant, Peru

Ventanilla Combined Cycle Power Plant is a 524MW gas fired power project. It is located in Callao, Peru. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1997.

Description

The project is currently owned by Enel Generacion Peru SAA with a stake of 100%.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Camisea Gas Project.

The project generated 2,386,868.38MWh of electricity. The project cost is $135m.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 1997.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Sistema Electrico Interconectado Nacional under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

Ventanilla Combined Cycle Power Plant (Ventanilla CCGT Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with Siemens SGT6-4000F gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 170MW nameplate capacity.

Ventanilla Combined Cycle Power Plant (Ventanilla CCGT Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with Siemens SGT6-4000F gas turbine. The phase consists of 1 gas turbine with 170MW nameplate capacity.

Ventanilla Combined Cycle Power Plant (Ventanilla CCGT Power Plant Unit III) is equipped with Siemens SST6-5000 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 184MW nameplate capacity.
