The project is being developed and currently owned by Lightsource BP Renewable Energy Investments.
Ventress Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 1,800 acres.
The project is expected to generate 600,000MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 59,000 households. The project is expected to offset 458,919t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $300m.
Development Status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2021. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to McDonald’s under a power purchase agreement, starting from 2023.
