Description
The project was developed by Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV. Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, CKD Infraestructura Mexico and Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40.8%, 39.2% and 20% respectively.
Villanueva 1 Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,534.347 hectares.
The project generates 973GWh electricity thereby offsetting 441,700t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $932.995m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in December 2017.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Comision Federal de Electricidad under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The contracted capacity is 427MW.
Contractors Involved
Enel Green Power Mexico S de RL de CV was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
JinkoSolar Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 1,334,640 modules each with 320W of nameplate capacity.
FIMER supplied its R11015 TL inverters to the project site.
The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
Solarig Global Service is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
