Virovo Wind Farm, Macedonia

Virovo Wind Farm is a 415MW onshore wind power project. It is planned in Northeastern, Macedonia. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2024 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2027.

Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Wpd.

The project is expected to generate 1,300MWh electricity and supply enough clean energy to power 290,000 households. The project is expected to offset 310,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $604.627m.

The wind power project consists of 69 turbines.

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2027.
