Description
The project was developed by First Solar Development Canada and is currently owned by Axium Infrastructure with a stake of 100%.
Walpole Solar Farm is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 141 hectares.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 2,800 households. The project cost is $70.442m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in 2013.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2013.
Contractors Involved
First Solar Development Canada was selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
First Solar was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 337,200 modules at the site.
Xantrex supplied its Xantrex GT500 E inverters to the project site.
First Solar is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
