MidAmerican Energy, Central Iowa Power Cooperative, Corn Belt Power Cooperative, Cedar Falls Utilities and Atlantic Municipal Utilities are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 79.1%, 11.5%, 3.8%, 3.1% and 2.5% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is subbituminous. In case of shortage of subbituminous the plant can also run on Distillate Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Black Hills Energy.

The project generated 4,467,175MWh of electricity.
