Description

The project was developed by Ventolines and is currently owned by Westermeerwind with a stake of 100%.

The wind turbines in the project are installed on fixed foundations. An array of monopile foundations feature in the project.

The project generates 500,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 160,000 households, offsetting 230,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Eneco Holding under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2016. The contracted capacity is 144MW.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the wind power project.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 48 units of SWT-3.0-108 turbines, each with 3MW nameplate capacity.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy is the O&M contractor for the wind power project. The operation and maintenance contract commenced from 2016, for a period of 15 years.
